Points Of Destiny

I believe each and everyone of us is destine for great things worthy of God saying "Good job my faithful servant."  This is of course through God's Grace.  In the eyes of the world these Points of Destiny may not hold much glamour, prestige or financial reward.

When I pray for deliverance, guidance, understanding, wealth, etc. and I get the desired results that is directly traced back to God then this is a Point of Destiny.  An example might be praying for the opportunity to prove one self at work as to get a raise so that you can buy a certain mini-van.  All of the needed chain of events happens and the specific mini-van prayed for happens to be on the car dealer lot with a mark down below the "actual" dealer price because of dealer quotas.  Another far less desired example is going through painful hardships that prepare us for battles in the future.   Joseph was sold into slavery to rise to the right hand of Pharaoh and Moses had the 40 years in the desert before leading Israel out of Egypt to name just two..

I use the term Points of Destiny in my life to refer to events of release from the past and building towards a destiny that is slowly being revealed.  I believe we are all on a "need to know" basis on our paths.  We don't understand why circumstances good and bad happen until we move past them.  Sometimes my "moving past them" has been with God practically carrying me!

I don't believe in "Name It and Claim It" as one segment of Christian Faith is teaching because it puts the whole equation on God with no responsibility on us!   What is true, is God guides our paths and rewards us as we move in faith, love and repentance.  Yes, we will mess up along the path but continual diversion on our part can eliminate the great rewards along the way.  In the end, God will complete the great work he has begun in us.

Lastly, as a Born Again Christian growing in the Faith, I can look back at many stupid, selfish things that I did with out repentance for years which have had big costs to me.  On the other hand, my deep longings and subtle desires in so many, many other things keep coming into fruition to the point I laugh at the Points Of Destiny that God though his Grace gives in mine and so many of my close friends lives.  He will do it in your life too!
