Elmore Maurice Montz
Born on 6-Aug-1899 St John Par, LA and died on 12-Apr-1947 Houston, TX

The information below is from the Obituary in the The Times-Picayune on April 14, 1947.  Note that from my records, his middle name was listed as Maurice and other places as Morris.  His young death was tragically caused by Saint Louis Encephalitis, the disease caused by the mosquito borne virus.

Notice the Obituaries are not always correct as Elmo's son James Dalferes Montz was incorrectly omitted from the press release.  Additionally sibling Eunice and Oliver Montz were omitted.

Elmo Morris Montz died at Houston, Texas, Saturday 12 Apr 1947 at 3:15 am. He was in his 47th year of age and the husband of Josephine Dalferes.
