The information below is from the Obituary in the The Times-Picayune on August 27, 1940.  Note that from my records, his first name is Adlphe and not Adoph

Adolph T Montz, retired railroad fireman and engineer, died at 12:50 pm Monday at Hotel Dieu after a brief illness. He was 68 years old. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm today (27 Aug 1940) from P J McMahon & Sons Funeral Home, Inc, 4800 Canal Street (New Orleans). Religious rites at St Anthony's Church will be followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
A native of St James Parish, Mr Montz made his home for the past 35 years in New Orleans, having resided previously at Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Laplace, Louisiana. He had been connected with various railroads for almost 50 years, retiring three years ago as fireman for the Louisiana and Arkansas Railway Company.

He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Amire Cambre; a daughter, Mrs E J Barrere; three sons, Elmo and Allie Montz of Houston, Texas, and Ralph Montz of this city, and two brothers, Neville Montz of Good Hope, Louisiana, and John J Dubourg of New Orleans.
